Caleb Dardick, Principal

Since founding CDA Strategies in 2000, Caleb Dardick has successfully provided public relations and public affairs consulting to a broad range of clients in business, government, the nonprofit sector and politics, and has earned a reputation for integrity, objectivity and diplomacy. With more than 15 years of experience delivering smart communications counsel, Caleb’s effective mix of community, government and media relations strategies provides clients with superior results.

Caleb has created and implemented a broad range of strategic outreach and communication plans for such diverse clients as the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (U.S. Department of Energy), Carpenter & Company (Boston-based hotel developer), Central Labor Council (Contra Costa County labor union), Berkeley Unified School District, Downtown Berkeley Association (merchant association), Ed Roberts Campus (disability services center), David Brower Center (environmental advocacy center), Congregation Beth El (religious institution) and many others.

Prior to establishing CDA Strategies, Caleb served as acting chief-of-staff and legislative aide in the Berkeley Mayor’s Office; manager and senior administrative analyst in UC Berkeley’s Office of Community Relations; and political consultant for a number of winning electoral campaigns.

Caleb grew up in a politically active rural community where people came together to build a new school or stop an inappropriate development. This early exposure to political organizing nurtured his current interest in community and government relations and prepared him well for Berkeley, where he now lives and works.

Caleb earned a B.A. in History with honors at the University of California at Santa Cruz and attended UC Davis’ Political Campaign Management Institute.
